About Us

Welcome!

The Aiken Concert Band is a non-profit organization created to promote musical entertainment and enjoyment to the citizens of Aiken and the Central Savannah River Area. The band is presently composed of over 70 talented musicians from the Aiken area. Membership is available to anyone having experience with a band instrument. Auditions are not required, but membership will be based on the new individuals ability to play at the current performance level of the band.

The Aiken Concert Band has been in existence for 50 years and has developed into a fine musical group. The band is currently under the leadership of Music Director and Conductor Mr. Todd Jenkins.

CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Come out to hear this wonderful community concert band as they perform many festive songs of the Holidays. The concert will feature familiar songs of the season as well as newly composed holiday music.

The flute section will be providing music in the Lobby before the concert, so come early.

Song selections include the following:

  • Merry Christmas, Darling
  • “Pat-a-Pan”
  • Toboggan by JaRod Hall
  • A special  performance of “Twas the Night before Christmas” featuring Joel Scraper as narrator
  • A performance of the epic “Emmanuel Variants by Robert Foster   

This concert is a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season – we hope you will join us!
